Lifestyle Photography - A Maternity Session

There are many reasons why I love lifestyle photographs. 
Some clients have screwed up their noses and looked at me strange, when I suggest doing something in their home.
"But my house is boring for photos", is a common complaint. 

Well here is some reasons  to consider it:

• Kids are more relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera in familiar surroundings.  Especially if they get to show off their favorite toys and hideaways. 
• We can take our time, stop for coffee, change wardrobe and touch up make up easily.
• You don't have to listen to my music.
• You won't forget to bring an item along, because it's already there.
• It is not reliant on the weather, unless it is dark and the power goes out.... then we just do candle lit photographs.
• They are natural, real, classic.
• And the best reason - the home you are in, the items surrounding you, even though they may not be the main focus of the photographs, they are going to bring back memories and will provide conversations, especially to your children, as they grow older and look back.
• The photographs are going to be unique to you.  

Rachel's maternity session was done in her home, with her husband and toddler hanging around, and taking part too.
